Shipping and Returns

 

FREE SHIPPING POLICY LIMITS

We provide free shipping for all orders over $90 with destinations inside the US except for APOs, FPOs, a few items requiring common carrier (freight) shipping, and shipments going to Alaska, Hawaii, or islands without connecting roads to the mainland. Orders under the $90 minimum will be charged a nominal $10 fee.

If you'd like to send your order to Alaska, Hawaii, or an unconnected island, let us know exactly what your order will consist of and where you want to send it, and we will be glad to provide you with a shipping quote.

We will also send orders to Canada and other international destinations, and you may contact us for a quote. However, if you have such a destination, you will generally do best by asking us to ship your order free to a friend or agent in the United States, and then having your friend or agent send it on from there.

DELIVERY

Orders generally ship within 48 hours of receipt except on weekends. This time may be longer during our peak season in March-May. Most of our products leave from Maryland, with the remainder shipping from upstate New York. Depending on the distance involved, you should receive them in one to five business days from the time they leave the warehouse.

CARRIERS AND SPECIAL SERVICES

We use FedEx ground, UPS ground, UPS Freight, and other services. Orders will be sent by the most economical class of carrier. If you want a particular type of carrier (for example, FedEx ground or UPS ground rather than a freight carrier) or a particular service (lift-gate, delivery by a particular kind of truck, etc.) we will do our best to accommodate you, but you will be charged for any extra costs. FREIGHT SHIPMENTS

If your item is shipped by freight to a residential address, the freight company will contact you to determine timing of the delivery. Someone must be present to inspect and sign for the shipment. The receiving person will also be responsible for unloading the shipment from the truck. Freight carriers do not unload the product or provide lift-gate services. However, our orders are packed in easily managed bundles, making it easy to break apart and unload a shipment.

RETURNS

PLEASE DO NOT RETURN ANY MERCHANDISE TO OUR MASSACHUSETTS ADDRESS. If you find a product simply does not meet your needs, you may return it in new condition, suitable for sale to another customer, within 30 days of purchase. Shipping charges for making this return are the customer's responsibility, and a 10% restocking fee (minimum fee $10.00) will be deducted from your refund. Please email us or call our Massachusetts office at 508-888-8305 to receive return instructions, including:
  • Your Return Authorization number
  • The address where the merchandise should be returned
  • Other return information
Failure to follow this procedure may jeopardize your refund.

DAMAGED GOODS

We are not responsible for damage to your shipment that is done by the carrier. Please report such damage to the carrier immediately, and then advise us so that we can provide any replacements needed.

DEFECTS AND MISSING ITEMS

Upon receipt of an order, we strongly recommend opening each package and inspecting for order completeness and damage. Free replacement of items with reported defects, or refunds for missing items, is limited to a period of 10 business days following receipt of the order. After that, any items reported as missing or having defects that should have been obvious on initial inspection may be repurchased.
